Body/Antibody Wins "Spirit of Independents" Award at Fort Lauderdale Nov 21, 2007 at 8:18PM
Filmmakers Lou Pappas, Body/Antibody writer/co-director Kerry Douglas Dye, and Murphy Gilson enjoy the hospitality at FLIFF

After a blowout screening at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, we're proud to announce that the fest recognized Body/Antibody with a "Spirit of Independents" Award for Comedy. That's our seventh award, and a nice honor from a well-organized, hospitable, and very fun festival.

We had a great time in Fort Lauderdale (see the above picture of us hanging out with our new filmmaker buddies, Lou Pappas of Halls of Jacob and Murphy Gilson of Partially True Tales of High Adventure, for proof), and the screening was extremely well-received by a generous audience.

Other recent screenings included the Northampton Independent Film Festival, with another great audience. Here, a couple of the festival screeners liked the movie so much they had "Party/Antiparty" T-shirts made up, which we think is really cool. They're shipping a couple our way ... thanks Lee and Becca! We can't wait to get those T-shirts.

And finally, November also saw our European premiere at the friendly and charmingly-accented Filmstock International Film Festival, in Luton, U.K. Another great screening! We took advantage of the trip to spend a little time in London, and also enjoyed hanging out at the festival bar drinking beer and discussing where exactly the London Bridge is located (answer: Arizona. Go figure.)

Anyway, thanks to all our new festival friends ... Lou, Murphy, Kavita, Chaz, Lee, Becca, Pat & Jeffrey, Neil, Justin, Jo and the gang and anyone we missed ... It was great to meet all of you.

Onward!
