Jordan Hoffman, Founder
Jordan Hoffman grew up in a well air-conditioned home in Monmouth County, New Jersey, the son of a jazz musician/commodities trader (zinc) and a zany Jewish mother.
During his undergraduate work at NYU Film School, Jordan made a number of well-liked shorts. Most remember the one where he ran through the park in his pajamas. His longer work, "Imbalance Beam," starred "Dr. Mom" from the Robitussin commercials. It was at NYU where Jordan first met and worked with Kerry Douglas Dye.
After NYU, Jordan worked as Director of Development at Andrew Lauren Productions for four years.
Jordan's recent day gigs include a position as Senior Editor at About: The Human Internet; as a licensed NYC tour guide; and as the Northeast winner of the "Ultimate Film Fanatic" on IFC.
He co-wrote, with Mr. Dye, and produced the digital video feature Ultrachrist!, which is available on DVD here.
He is currently accompanying his new film Body/Antibody, made with Mr. Dye, to film festivals around the world.
His ten favorite movies, in no order, are "Casablanca," "Koyaanisqatsi," "The Purple Rose of Cairo," "Grey Gardens," "Starship Troopers," "The Bridge on the River Kwai," "Persona," "Ghost World," "Road to Morroco" and "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home."
Jordan maintains a blog, The SS Fun, which is at www.JordanHoffman.com.
